If you need to send large or confidential files, attaching them to email isn't the best way to go. This guide will show you a better way to share files, and the service is FREE. The company is Tresorit. You can read about all the cool stuff they do by visiting their website at https://tresorit.com.

  1. Go to https://send.tresorit.com (I like to bookmark this site on my browser's favorites bar).

You can also add a browser extension for easy access (works in MS Edge or Chrome browser): Tresorit Send - Chrome Web Store (google.com).

  1. Now you're ready to share your files. Choose the options that work best for you. I typically Copy Link and paste it straight into an email or chat window for sharing. You can also click on one of the email options.

  1. Right after you clicked on Create Secure Link (step 3), you should have received an email (sent to the address you entered in step 3). Hold on to this email. It shows you when the link will expire and the size/number of files you shared. It will also allow you to open the Admin Link (it's kind of a big deal)

  1. When you choose "Open Admin Link," you will be able to see if your link was opened and how many times. You can also revoke access if you think it's necessary.

  1. You may be curious as to what happens on your end once the link has been opened. You will receive an email every time the link is clicked. See the example below. You'll also be able to open the Admin Link from these messages.
